With a relocation to Highcross shopping centre

On Friday 28th January 2022 at 12:00pm, fresh handmade cosmetics brand Lush will reveal the new look of its Leicester shop with a relocation to Highcross shopping centre. Lush Leicester will be the third shop across the UK&I and Europe to reopen with a new customer journey concept and will be double the size of the original shop with a retail area of 110 sqm.
With this relocation, the shop both retains presence on the high street as well as having a presence in the mall. The store will have dual entrances, one facing East Gates and the other facing into the mall.
I am extremely excited to be relocating our store and becoming a part of the Highcross family. Whilst it has been wonderful to watch the business grow in the location of Gallowtree Gate, I can’t wait for Lush Leicester to become even more of a hub for the community in the new location – having more visibility for the brand, greater access and a larger store for our customers to shop in.
Continuing to invest in the high street with a new shopping experience
At a time when physical retail is under huge economic pressure, Lush is committed to continuing investment in the high streets and providing innovation and new customer experiences.
With the new store concept and the ease of shopping in mind, the customer experience will be much clearer. The new customer journey concept showcases product category areas of Fresh haircare and skincare, ‘Bathing’ (shower, soap and bath), and ‘Gifting’ – each with their own identity.
The new shop concept also allows customers to easily pick up a varied selection of fresh handmade cosmetics including an array of seasonal gifts in the lead up to Valentine’s Day. The ‘Gifting’ area will feature traditional ethical gifts, bespoke gifting, fragrance gifts and alternative packaging options including Lush Knot Wraps.
Lush Parties
The additional space allows Lush Leicester to offer more of the popular fresh, handmade customisable parties with new exclusive products.
To celebrate their reopening and showcase the different offerings of Lush Parties, Lush Leicester is inviting visitors to come into the store for different workshops to make their own bath bomb and fresh face masks. This will be completely free of charge and no booking needed.

Reducing, Reusing, Recycling
Alongside some new furniture produced from ethically sourced and durable materials, Leicester will have upcycled furniture as well.
When fitting their shops, Lush utilise the same values they do when sourcing ingredients for their products.
At Lush we celebrate the stories that make us and our products and we wanted to create a place customers could explore and indulge in these stories, as well as a place to create their own ones. The new, larger store focuses on bringing people together through spaces to create perfect, personalised gifts for loved ones, throwing a party with friends or meeting our fantastic in store team.
Bring It Back
Lush Leicester is not only looking forward to welcoming their customers back, but also welcoming their plastic packaging back! As part of Lush’s mission to ‘Leave the world Lusher than we found it’, Lush shops are inviting customers to bring back any full-sized Lush plastic packaging to their local Lush shop to be recycled as part of their fresh new packaging returns scheme, Bring It Back.
For each plastic Lush item returned, customers will receive a 50p deposit to spend on their Lush basket that day.
