LUSH and MAHOGANY reveal a love letter to nature, taking performances into the wild in Somerset

This summer, Lush and Mahogany have teamed up and have taken five of their favourite musicians into the great British outdoors to capture some magical Mahogany Sessions and interviews. From wheat fields, to moss-covered forests – this series combines their shared love of nature, the environment and music.

Woodland performances

Each live performance in this first series showcases extraordinary talent, carefully selected by Mahogany and Lush. The lineup features exclusive rare acoustic performances from Mahalia, Yaya Bey, Barry Can’t Swim ft. Prettygirl, Gabrielle Aplin, and Alfie Hudson Taylor. The performances, set in the woodlands of Somerset, will be uploaded to Mahogany Sessions YouTube channel from mid July until September.

On music, nature and wellbeing

Alongside the performances, this collaboration delves into the personal journeys and inspirations of the artists. Lush’s YouTube channel will reveal exclusive interviews with each artist, delving deep into their creative processes, their inspiration, as well as maintaining a balance including wellbeing and the complexities of maintaining healthy relationships with social media and work.

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Mahogany for this collaboration. At Lush, we believe in the transformative power of music, and this collaboration exemplifies that. By bringing together the raw beauty of music and the natural worlds, we aim to create a truly magical experience to transport you somewhere else.”

– Melody Morton, Lush Concepts Creative Director

“MAHOGANY is dedicated to providing a platform for exceptional artists from across the world, showcasing their talents through content, events and selected partnerships. Our flagship Mahogany Sessions, always captured in unique settings, made the perfect platform to collaborate with LUSH, working in the unspoilt enclaves of Somerset to create a series that we’re really proud of. Our lineup consisted of some returning names like Mahalia and Gabrielle Aplin as well as some incredible new names that we’re so excited to feature” James Gaster – MAHOGANY Managing Director

About Lush Music

You would be hard pushed to pick up a Lush product that hadn’t been inspired in some part by music. You could say that music is one of their essential ingredients.

Interacting and working alongside musicians rather than just listening to them started with their Spa treatments. Music was to play an important role and become a part of the therapy, creating the perfect soundtrack to massages, scrubs and soaks. All of Lush’s Spa treatments have bespoke soundtracks created by the ever expanding community of musicians who have become part of the Lush family.
