Lush is hosting an out-of-this-world visit to its factory, but there’s a catch… You’ll have to find a special bath bomb!

  • The fresh, handmade cosmetics company is hiding eight codes inside its much-loved Intergalactic bath bombs
  • These special bath bombs will be delivered, at random, to eight of Lush’s UK (excluding Northern Ireland) stores waiting for fans to get their hands on them
  • The hunt begins on Thursday 7th December, when these special, money-can’t-buy codes will begin arriving in Intergalactic bath bombs to stores across the UK (excluding Northern Ireland)

Lush has hidden eight codes inside its bestselling Intergalactic bath bombs, and these unique codes grant finders an exclusive visit to Lush’s factory – a behind-the-scenes visit like no other!

As part of Lush’s Intergalactic Christmas campaign, UK customers who buy the Intergalactic bath bomb between 7th December 2023, and 31st December 2023 in participating stores may find one of eight unique codes – to celebrate the cult classic product’s invention eight years ago. The figure eight also happens to represent good fortune and infinity…

Intergalactic (£6) is a swirling galaxy bath bomb containing a mix of refreshing peppermint and grapefruit oils. These eight special products will be delivered, at random, across  Lush’s UK stores (excluding Northern Ireland) where they will be waiting for bathers to get their hands on them from Thursday 7th December.

Those who spot a ticket emerging from their Intergalactic bath art simply need to contact Lush at the email address specified on their unique code, sending the code and their proof of purchase by the deadline to join LUSH for an out-of-this-world visit to the home of the Intergalactic bath bomb – the Lush factory in Poole – on Thursday 21 March 2024.

This top-secret tour is set to take attendees on a voyage through Lush’s fresh and handmade galaxy, behind-the-scenes at the Poole factory. Here, over 33 million fresh products are hand chopped, whisked, pressed, shaped, and perfected by the skilled hands of manufacturing teams every year.

Attendees will witness the cosmic creation process of their favourite Lush products and have the chance to get involved themselves – making their own bath bombs, bubble bars and facemasks with the experts.

Guests will pass through the colourful ‘Ballistics’ department, where over 13 million of the brand’s iconic bath bombs are hand pressed every year. The bath bomb was invented by Lush’s manufacturing director and co-founder Mo Constantine in her garden shed in 1989, and since then Lush’s team of inventors and manufacturing staff have created hundreds of bath bombs – each with their own unique fizzing style, scent, and bath art.

They will also see Lush’s Fresh kitchen where compounders mix, juice and blend fresh fruit and vegetables using huge mixers to create the brand’s best selling face masks, body scrubs and eye pads. They will also stop by the company’s new ‘Green Hub’ where the brand recycles the iconic black pots customers bring back to store into new ones.

Mo Constantine, Lush co-founder and manufacturing director said:  “At Lush Manufacturing we’re exceptionally proud to be the inventors of the bath bomb and the experts in creating magical bath art. The millions of products made in our factories are crafted with very special skills that can only be achieved by hand, and we’re very excited to celebrate eight years of Intergalactic by giving eight bathers, and their guests, the chance to see how we do it it for themselves.”

The hunt begins on Thursday 7th December, when these special Intergalactic bath bombs will arrive in UK Lush stores.

There is no guarantee that one of these extra special Intergalactic bath bombs will be in any particular UK LUSH Store, the 8 Intergalactic bath bombs have been allocated at random and even the shop staff do not know if their store has one!

About Lush

Since establishing in 1995, Lush has been driven by innovation and its ethics. Creators of pioneering beauty products, one of Lush’s most well-known creations is the bath bomb. Invented in 1989 by Lush Co-Founder Mo Constantine in her garden shed, bath bombs have become a global sensation – all hand pressed in Lush’s own manufacturing sites across the world, Lush sold over 40.5 million last year.

Being fresh and handmade is integral to Lush. Lush has manufacturing sites in six countries: UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, Croatia and Germany, plus Fresh Kitchens in 15 global locations. This ensures the products are delivered to stores at their very freshest, for the customer to enjoy at their most beneficial.

A combination of fresh, active ingredients, essential oils and a strict freshness policy (all products must leave the factories within 28 days of being made, other than Seasonal ranges) means a machine just can’t give them the attention and care they need. This means Lush employs hundreds of staff around the world to hand-make their products, and proudly display their names and faces on every product’s batch sticker.

Today, Lush operates in 48 countries with over 886 shops, 38 websites shipping worldwide and a global network of native apps, broadcasting channels and digital communities in over 30 languages. For more information on the Lush Intergalactic Promotion, please email [email protected]
