Lush launches spa parties featuring two treatments, avocado face mask making and skincare secrets
Tucked away among the hustle and bustle of some of the nation’s busiest shopping streets are Lush’s in-store spas, offering the brand’s much-loved fresh, handmade cosmetics, 12 different spa treatments and its brand new spa parties.
Full of hands-on activities, spa treatments and pampering, Lush’s new Spa Parties are perfect for wedding celebrations, baby showers and friends and family get-togethers. Guests make their own fresh face mask, learn Lush skincare secrets, enjoy a Fresh Facial or Tangled Hair and a back massage, a fresh fruit platter and refreshments, then take home an after-party box full of skincare goodies to continue the relaxation at home.
The 2.5 hour experience is available at Lush Spa Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow City, Leeds, Liverpool, London (Covent Garden), London (Oxford Street) and Poole, and is priced at £150 per guest.
Parties begin with an exclusive Avocado Ice Cream Face Mask making workshop, where guests blend real avocados and lemons into one of the freshest cosmetics on the market! Groups then settle in to pipe fresh facial cleanser into beeswax cones, while tucking into a refreshing fruit platter and enjoying a hand and arm massage, or foot pamper.
Spa treatments included in the party include the rapidly relaxing face and scalp massage Tangled Hair or a rejuvenating Fresh Facial, both followed by a soothing 20-minute back massage which relieves muscular tension where it’s needed most.
Finally, guests choose which after-party box they’d like to take home – Bright and Beautiful (uplifting and refreshing), Be Yourself (balancing and clearing) or Love Your Skin (soft and soothing), which all contain an oil-based balm cleanser, exfoliating cleanser, facial serum, fresh face mask, eye pads, toner, loose herbs or flowers and a solid massage oil bar.
Nestled above or below several of Lush’s shop floors is the brand’s ‘best kept secret’ – the Lush Spa – where spa therapists offer treatments including new Scottish-themed hot stone massage The Highlands, hot chocolate-scented full body scrub The Comforter, and face, ear and scalp massage, The Sound Bath.
The Lush Spa concept launched in 2009 and there are 19 Lush spas around the world offering a variety of treatments, from facials and full body massages to immersive bathing experiences which can be customised with different products.
The brand’s signature spa treatment Synaesthesia (£160, 80 minutes) was created by Lush co-founders to reinvent massage, playing with all five of the client’s senses to create a certain state of mind within them, which is chosen by them before the treatment begins.
Lush Spa Parties are available from Friday 16th August 2024 at spas across the UK. Contact your local spa to book: Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow City, Leeds, Liverpool, London (Covent Garden), London (Oxford Street), Poole
