Lush Netherlands Internal Trust Person
We are seeking a new internal trust person for LUSH Netherlands. At LUSH, we strive to create a safe work environment for everyone, free from all forms of discrimination, including bullying, sexual harassment, racism, and aggression. We believe that having an internal confidant is a valuable addition to our external confidant, Kimberley Wetsteijn.
As our internal trust person, you will serve as a supportive listener for our employees when they face challenging situations in the workplace. You will provide a safe space for them to share their stories, seek advice, and receive assistance. The responsibilities of a trust person include:
- Providing initial relief for employees who have been harassed and who need help and advice;
- Checking whether a solution in the informal sphere is possible;
- Informing the victim about other solutions such as complaint procedures;
- Guiding the employee in addressing the matter with the relevant person;
- Referring to other emergency care services;
- Registering cases of undesirable behaviour;
- Proficient in understanding and speaking English;
- Preferably fluent in Dutch.
A non-disclosure agreement is part of this responsibility to guarantee confidentiality.
Skills
Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, an understanding of intersectionality, and organisational sensitivity are crucial for this role. Trustworthiness, empathy, and reliability are essential qualities for providing the appropriate support as a confidant.
The selected trust person will be required to complete a one-day training session conducted by an external professional.
Pay
The time you put in as our internal trust person is rewarded with the hourly rate of a Supervisor role.

FAQs ABOUT THE POSITION:
What topics do not fall under the scope of a trust person?
As a trust person, you are not involved in performance and appraisal interviews, reorganisations, labour disputes, personal problems, or integrity issues. These matters fall outside the scope of your role, which focuses solely on addressing undesirable behaviour that may result from such issues. Any deeper issues (beyond the four undesirable behaviours outlined in the Arbowet) should be handled by our People Partner. As a trust person, you are not qualified to take on the responsibilities of an HR professional, but you may seek advice from them.
How much time a month will I need to invest in this role?
This can vary per month and is hard to give a set answer too. Usually, it is around 1-5 hours a month.
How do I combine this with my current job?
As a trust person, you never know when your support will be required, which might be at the last minute. It can happen that this will be additional time on top of your current job hours, when necessary.
